Meet Jessie!

Jessie is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, CPDT- KA, who began her career in the industry a decade ago as a dog walker in San Francisco, CA where she led groups of 8-10 dogs on off-leash walks and hikes. The unpredictability of walking such a large group of dogs in an urban setting led her on her path to becoming a trainer and working to build clear and compassionate communication with not only her dogs, but with yours too!

The unpredictability of walking such a large group of dogs in an urban setting led her on her path to becoming a trainer and working to build clear and compassionate communication with not only her dogs, but with yours too!

Jessie has worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities and all of them have taught her that patience and compassion, plus science backed techniques, are always the best and only route for success when working with animals of all species. Jessie has a deep love for continued education and is always striving to learn more about positive reinforcement, science based dog training and canine behavior.

Not only have Jessie’s experiences in urban San Francisco made her a uniquely qualified trainer for other urban clients living the hectic city life, but she is a Kensington/Fishtown local herself and understands the unique challenges of living inside Philly city limits! When she’s not training your dog or continuing her pursuit of education, she’s hanging out outdoors with her resident dog, Pagoda.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help not only the residents of Philadelphia, but dog guardians everywhere, build better, stronger, and more meaningful relationships with their dogs. Through positive reinforcement training we strive to close the communication gaps between dogs and guardians and bring them closer together, giving them both the relationship they’ve dreamed of by providing compassionate and customizable dog training.

Dog Training is an Unregulated Industry

Here’s Why Trainer Certifications Matter

  • A certified dog trainer has passed comprehensive exams covering skills and knowledge in ethology, learning theory, dog training technique, and instruction.
  • They adhere to a code of ethics. Most professional dog training organizations require certification appointees to pledge to not harm any animals in their care.
  • In order to keep these certifications trainers must stay up to date on new concepts and skills and submit evidence that they have attended conferences and classes annually.
